Information for Accused Students

Students accused of violating the honor code should refer to the student handbook for detailed information on honor system procedures, potential sanctions, and additional resources. If your case has been referred to a hearing, take a look at the what to expect at a hearing page for further information.

We understand that this is often a difficult situation, but we believe that knowledge about what to expect can help alleviate a great deal of stress. In addition to learning more about the process, you may also want to reach out to one of the Honor Council Student Consultants, Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS), and/or Health Education Services (HES).  You can also contact your advising dean for support during this process.

Please know that anything you share with Honor Council members (faculty, staff, or students) will be completely confidential. Please let us know if you have questions or concerns. Let us know if you have any questions or concerns by reaching out to the Honor Council at honor@georgetown.edu.
